About Frivilligmødet
Frivilligmødet - The Volunteer Meeting - is the annual celebration of community, volunteerism, and active citizenship. Everyone who wishes to take part in the celebration is invited to join.
With Frivilligmødet, we want to recognize the communities and the people who create them. Together, we will explore what communities are and what they can do, and we will welcome even more people into these communities. We will come together for Odder.
With Frivilligmødet, we highlight the people and communities that make a difference every day. It is a tribute to the connections formed between people—connections that create belonging, meaning, and unity.
Frivilligmødet 2026 will take place from 20–23 May 2026 in Odder. See all the events in the program on the front page or at each location.

European Volenteering Capital 2028
The Municipal Council of Odder Municipality has decided that Odder will apply to become Europæisk frivillighovedstad - European Volunteering Capital - in 2028.
This means increased focus on volunteerism, community, and cooperation between citizens, associations, and the municipality. If Odder wins the title, it will be a great recognition of all the valuable volunteer work already taking place—and it may at the same time give a significant boost to new initiatives and collaborations for the benefit of everyone in Odder Municipality.
